3. Checking drawn wires

Quality control of drawn wires is another aspect of drawing techniques specific to ultra-fine wires. Because the wires are so small, quality control tests have to be carried out more carefully and with greater resolution and precision than with conventional wire drawing.

The characteristics to be checked after wire drawing are dimensional, mechanical and electrical. Checking these characteristics not only determines product conformity with the relevant specifications, but also ensures that the process runs smoothly.
