6. Conclusion
Frictional vibrations are a common phenomenon, but one that is complex to understand due to the relatively wide range of possible situations. These situations are distinguished not only by very different frequencies covering the whole audible range (from a hundred hertz up to several kilohertz), but also by very different causes, leading to very different resolution strategies. To make it easier to understand these vibratory phenomena, the three most common frictional vibration scenarios are analyzed one by one, detailing the physical phenomenon involved, then proposing a highly simplified model capable of identifying the parameters likely to have a significant influence on vibratory emissions.
