Adhesive ; Adhésif

Interface biomaterial that helps form an adherent and tight bond between dental tissue (enamel and dentin) and restorative biomaterials.

Amalgam ; Amalgame

Alloys of mercury and other metals (mainly silver, tin, copper and zinc), used for over 150 years as a dental restorative material, primarily for filling molars (figure  33 ).
