3. Slag/rock-based geopolymer cement

Raw materials :

  • MK-750 metakaolin or calcined clay ;

  • blast furnace slag ;

  • volcanic tuffs (calcined or uncalcined) ;

  • mine tailings ;

  • alkali silicate (user-friendly ).

Geopolymer structure :

Si:Al = 3; crude formulation (K,Na,Ca)-poly(sialate-disiloxo); actually a solid solution comprising two geopolymers:

  • Si:Al = 1, Ca-poly(disialate), hydrated anorthite type;

  • Si:Al = 3-5, (K,Na)-poly(sialate-multisiloxo)

    with calcium disilicate hydrate CaO.2SiO 2 .2H 2 ...
