1. Definitions

Advances in electronics have led to the miniaturization of many devices and appliances, to the point where they can now be referred to as wearable electronics. These are objects incorporating computer or electronic systems that can be worn by the user to access these functions anywhere, anytime. Systems such as augmented reality glasses, media players, connected watches, smartphones or clothing with similar functionalities can be integrated. These devices are generally made up of elements and subsystems that analyze, process, communicate and respond to external or internal signals. They have a wide range of applications, covering all equipment linked to the Internet of Things (IoT).
