spin transfer torque; couple de transfert de spin

A spin-polarized current acts on the magnetization of a material to change its orientation.

spin orbit torque; couple spin orbite

Action on the magnetization of a material exerted by a spin current originating from an adjacent material with strong spin-orbit coupling, allowing its orientation to be modified.

magnetoresistance; magnetoresistance

Variation in the resistance value of a magnetic sample when subjected to an external magnetic field. Several types of magnetoresistance exist: anisotropic, giant, tunnel and colossal.

ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic exchange coupling; couplage d'échange ferromagnétique ou antiferromagnétique
