2. Different composite repair techniques

2.1 Repair technologies

Various repair and maintenance technologies have been in common use for many years. Concrete can be repaired by applying layers of paint, hydraulic mortar or polymer mortar, after treatment of the damaged beam. Cracked areas are injected with polymers. The various structural reinforcement techniques are either fiber-reinforced or non-fiber-reinforced concrete spraying (figure 5 ), steel sheet bonding using the Hermite process [6] , or the application of additional prestressing using wire ropes [5] or composites [7]...
