1. Preliminary remarks

• In most cases, a range of values is given for each characteristic, rather than a specific value. These are the minimum and maximum values most commonly obtained. However, due to the diversity of the conditions under which materials and additives are obtained (nature, concentration), it is possible, in certain cases, for a user to encounter values outside these ranges.

When only one value is mentioned, this may be due to the availability of a single source of information, or to the fact that several sources agree; as before, this value should not be considered as rigidly linked to the material, but as likely to be slightly increased or decreased according to manufacturing conditions.

• Unless otherwise stated, the various properties listed were determined on materials previously conditioned at 23 ˚C, under 50% relative humidity....
