5. Conclusion

Wood as an energy source is back in vogue, but using it too intensively or under poorly controlled conditions can have serious consequences for the environment. While from a purely chemical point of view, the use of wood as an energy resource is close to carbon neutrality, its use has collateral effects that may moderate, or even contradict, the most widely circulated current conclusions.

All the information presented is intended to be sufficiently general to be accessible. It is intended to arouse the reader's curiosity not only about this renewable energy source, but also about the diversity of possible uses it offers beyond its traditional use as a heating medium.
