4. Conclusion

Research into deep eutectic solvents has opened the door to a whole new world of possibilities. This is an exciting and stimulating area of scientific research, which is reflected in the exponential number of scientific papers published every year. The intensive research being carried out on this subject means that new scientific developments are undoubtedly in store for the years to come. Indeed, if these systems are as promising as current research suggests, we can assume that the advances linked to these solvents in metal treatment, extraction, vectorization of active ingredients, biocatalysis and gas absorption should benefit society as a whole by becoming an industrial reality.
