4.1 Pay special attention to OELs
The OELs commit the producer to protecting workers from health risks. In the absence of OELs defined in a country, the most relevant OELs must be applied based on the potential risks of exposure. Failing this, the use of more restrictive OELs from recognized agencies such as SCOEL, the MAK Commission, and ACGIH should be preferred.
