5.1 Anticipate a restriction (or other measure reducing or prohibiting the use of a substance)

To do this, you'll need to know the substance's profile (classification, SVHC characteristics, exposure scenarios, risk management measures, substitution possibilities), bearing in mind that at any time a Member State may propose a restriction at European level, for which a regulatory decision will be taken less than a year and a half later.
