3. Selecting the appropriate risk analysis techniques

In general, risk analysis techniques must meet the following requirements:

  • they must be appropriate and tailored to the organization or situation in question;

  • The results must be presented in a clear and comprehensive manner and highlight the nature of the risks and how they should be addressed.

  • they must be traceable, iterative, and verifiable.

The choice of methods must be justified. The analysis results must remain consistent with each other.
