Teleports; overhead cable transport

All aerial ropeway systems, whatever the technology used.

Cable cars; ropeways

Teleported systems involving one or two closed, medium- to high-capacity vehicles travelling back and forth, attached to the same hauling cable (Brest case).

Gondola lifts

Teleported systems featuring a variable number of low- to medium-capacity cabins moving unidirectionally, turning around at the end of their journey in a loop (as in Toulouse or Saint-Denis de la Réunion). The cabins can be disengaged at the station, allowing passengers to move in and out. The number of cabins can be increased or decreased according to ridership levels.
