2. Life cycle analysis applied to ELT recovery solutions

Life cycle assessment (LCA) is a method for evaluating the potential environmental impacts of a system (product, process or service) that performs one or more functions, throughout its life cycle.

The method is generally applied iteratively in four main phases:

  • objectives ;

  • inventory ;

  • impact analysis ;

  • interpretation.
