2. Seaport design and site selection

The number of factors to be taken into account is extremely high, and in a wide variety of fields. In order to order them and thus facilitate the conclusions to be drawn, it may be advisable to carry out a SWOT analysis of the entire project and its criteria.

SWOT stands for "Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats" and is a classic strategic analysis tool used in corporate strategy to determine the best options.

In general, Opportunities and Threats are rather external to the project itself, whereas Assets and Weaknesses are elements that are fundamentally under the control of the decision-making organization.
