Chemical sensor

A device that detects, identifies, or quantifies a target chemical species by converting a specific chemical interaction into a measurable signal. It comprises a recognition layer, which selectively interacts with the target species, and a transducer, which converts this interaction into a signal that can be used by a measurement system.

Doping; doping

A chemical or electrochemical process that involves modifying the density of charge carriers (electrons or holes) along the conjugated polymer chain in order to increase its electrical conductivity by several orders of magnitude.
