2. Different frames of reference

There is a wide variety of ways of achieving and demonstrating a given quality of results. Each can create its own system, or use the principles of existing systems without formal recognition. However, the most common solution is to use internationally recognized systems, which have the advantage of ensuring widespread recognition of the laboratory's skills.

A laboratory must therefore first choose the standard that best suits its activities and the type of recognition it is seeking.

2.1 Certification
