3. Outlook

The text of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 has been approved by CEN as EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 without any changes. The European standard has been granted the status of a national standard ( NF EN ISO/CEI 17025 :2017 ), and all conflicting national standards have been withdrawn.

Laboratories have a transition period of three years from the date of publication of the revision of ISO/IEC 17025 to meet the new requirements of the standard.

In France, over 1,800 laboratories are concerned by this review as part of their accreditation process.
