2. Methods

Each application has its own image analysis program, which always runs in the same way [6] , [29] . An image analysis program performs a sequence of instructions, corresponding to a logical decomposition of the problem posed. The steps are visualized on the image analyzer screen (figure 1 ), enabling the program's progress to be followed. A program comprises four essential steps:
