Accelerated solvent extraction system; ASE
Extraction technique that uses high temperature and pressure conditions to accelerate the process of extracting targeted compounds from a solid sample using a solvent. This allows extracts to be obtained more quickly and with greater efficiency than with traditional methods.
Chemical ionization; CI
A gentle ionization method used in mass spectrometry. It relies on reactions between neutral molecules in the sample and reactive ions generated in a gas source, producing molecular ions or fragments under less energetic conditions than electron ionization.
