2. Calibration and/or verification

Calibration and/or verification will always be a source of confusion, as each uses the same methods. Scale users regularly ask these questions:

  • what's the difference between calibration and verification?

  • do you need to calibrate and/or check a scale?

These simple questions cannot be answered by reading the reference manuals in section 1. It's up to the user to decide what's best suited to his or her needs.
