9. Appendix: link to main standards

Some of the processes involved in architectural design are mentioned in at least two standards:

  • ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 (Systems and Software Engineering – System lifecycle processes) ;

  • ISO/IEC/IEEE 42020 (Enterprise, Systems and Software – Architecture-related processes).

We won't provide an overview of these standards, just a brief introduction, and we'll refer to them directly to position the various activities introduced.
