5. Conclusion

This article shows, step by step, how to develop and implement the relevant standards to ensure that a system functions correctly and seamlessly throughout its lifecycle, is financially sustainable, and gives full satisfaction to all stakeholders, from users to maintainers, and from managers to regulators.

After defining standards and positioning them in relation to standards, regulations and patents, the article shows the relevance of standards, both from an economic point of view and in terms of system lifetime.
