Cartographie et localisation simultanées; Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)
Techniques enabling a robot to construct a map of an environment while simultaneously localizing itself. This is an essential approach for autonomous navigation, especially in a priori unknown environments.
Laser range finder (LiDAR); Télémètre laser
Sensor used to measure the distance to obstacles, generally on a horizontal plane. It is commonly used in robotics for navigation and mapping, offering precise measurements over distances of up to several tens of meters.
