1.1 Industrial measurements

The measurement of noise exposure in the workplace is covered by the ISO 9612 standard, which a few years ago was rejected as a European standard, as member states unanimously wished to retain their national standards in this area. However, in May 2009, the NF EN ISO 9612 standard was finally published, demonstrating a change in the policy of member states, who are abandoning their national methods in favor of a single European method.
