2.1.1 Astronomical telescope

This instrument (figure 6 a ) consists of an Ob objective and an Oc eyepiece. The image A′ B′ of a distant object is seen inverted and magnified in the ratio of the magnification G, which has the value :

G = \frac{α^{'}}{α} = \frac{F}{f}
