2. Camera calibration

Camera calibration involves identifying the parameters that enable object coordinates and image coordinates to be matched according to a chosen camera model. This model is characterized by a number of parameters [5][6] .

It's worth pointing out that when we calibrate a camera, we're interested in modeling the entire camera and acquisition card. If you change one or the other, you have to recalibrate the whole system.
