4. Conclusion

Statistical analysis can be extended to many fields other than the examples given in this article. Opinion polls carried out in the weeks leading up to an election are applications of statistical theories developed on bases other than those examined in this article. Polls optimize the constitution of a microscopic sample of random variables with a view to predicting their behavior on a large scale. Unlike the tests described above, the population of the microscopic sample can only be refined through the use of specific methods and the contribution of the experience of statisticians well-versed in this kind of exercise!
