Urban environmental buildings designed as interconnected natural spaces to provide multiple ecological functions.

Technosols construits; Constructed Technosol

Result of the human action of intentionally creating a "soil" from artifacts and/or semi-natural materials (e.g. bricks, gravel, sand, fill) selected to create an environment generally intended to be vegetated.

Brownfield site

Contaminated or degraded land that was once used as an industrial or commercial facility, but is no longer in use or operational.
