2.1 Overview of roofs studied

The thirty-six green roofs included in the GROOVES study are distributed throughout Greater Paris (figure 2 ). The selection was based on the desire to distribute the different types of vegetation identified by roofing professionals: eighteen extensive roofs (substrate height less than 15 cm, planted), six semi-intensive roofs (substrate height between 15 and 30 cm, planted), eight intensive roofs (substrate height greater than 30 cm, planted) and finally four so-called "wildroofs" (substrate alone...
