Adventice; Weed

Plant that competes with cultivated plants.

Aggregate; Agrégat

Elementary assembly between mineral soil particles (sands and silts) and colloidal cements (clays, humic matter, iron and aluminum hydroxides) that characterizes soil structure on a macroscopic scale.

Auxiliaire de culture; Beneficial organism

A living organism used to improve the health of cultivated plants, and often used to control pests.

Bioagressors; Pest

Living organisms that attack cultivated plants, causing economic damage.

Variety, quantity and distribution of living organisms in the biosphere or a given ecosystem.
