3. Bond graph model for analyzing structural properties of the model

A property is said to be "structural" if it depends only on the type of elements that make up the model and the way they are interconnected, and if it is true for all parameter values except possibly certain particular values.

Here, we present some graphical procedures for linear models only.

3.1 Static modes

Static modes correspond to zero eigenvalues of the state matrix, and their existence is linked to the rank of the matrix A. Let us denote (n i ) i the number of elements I or C admitting integral causality when an integral preferential assignment is applied to the bond graph model.
