4.1 Public works contracts
The role of the prime contractor in public works contracts is defined in Article 2 of the CCAG-Travaux (see Box 2).
The "project manager" is the natural or legal person, public or private, who, by virtue of his technical competence, is entrusted by the project owner or his representative with an overall mission to provide an architectural, technical and economic response to the program defined by the project owner for the completion of an operation covered by the contract.
