The "condensation/potential evaporation" balance for 1 linear metre (l.m.) of facade (assuming a storey height of 3 m) is as follows:
condensation: 15.8919 g/m2 · h x 0.95 m x 3.00 m 45.2919 g/h ;
evaporation: - 0.0579 g/m2 · h x 0.05 m x 3.00 m - 0.0087 g/h ;
total condensable per m.l. of frontage: 45.2832 g/h.
The balance is largely "in favor" of condensation. This explains and justifies the construction system recommended in DTU 20.1 for masonry of small elements (walls and partitions) for the special case of double walls (type II a, II b and III walls), but which, in our opinion, should be generalized as soon as there is an air space...
