Underestimated permanent loads

Frequently, the thicknesses of masonry, slabs and screeds, set a priori before construction, are considerably increased during the course of the work. As a result, permanent loads are much higher than anticipated. This underestimation can have serious consequences when the building is loaded.

Underestimated operating overloads

They can be the cause of excessive deformation or even breakage, due to the user's ignorance of the admissible load. A case in point is the storage of archives (loads of up to 10 kN /m ² ) on floors not designed for this purpose....
