1. SPS coordination tools
When several companies or self-employed workers are involved in building or civil engineering operations, the French Labor Code requires them to appoint a safety coordinator, whose main aim is to prevent risks arising from their simultaneous or successive interventions, and to promote the use of common resources.
The health and safety coordination system (SPS) is based on anticipation in the organization of occupational risk prevention on construction sites (scheduling, pooling of resources, procurement, etc.) and subsequent work on the structure (maintenance, upkeep, etc.). These tools have been designed to formalize the respective obligations and missions of the various players involved.
