ABSTRACT
This article concerning embankment beds in compressible valleys more specifically details soil consolidation attitudes and the instrumentation needed to follow up and verify this consolidation. Intervening factors, different techniques, choices of consolidation methods, and a description of the most common attitudes are also aspects touched upon. The instrumentation is then discussed along with interstitial pressure measurement of vertical shifting (compaction) and horizontal shifting.

We have described the reconnaissance operations and tests to be envisaged and carried out to determine the constructive provisions.
