The "bioslurry" technique involves treating the soil in a reactor with sufficient water to keep the soil particles (pulp) in suspension (figure 5 ). Prior excavation of the soil is mandatory. This technique is already in use on major construction sites, and provides greater control over biological treatment processes. Bioslurry is the most expensive of the biological treatment techniques and therefore remains somewhat marginal.
