Lime is irritating to the respiratory tract and skin in the presence of moisture. It can cause serious damage to the eyes. It is not toxic, but inhalation may cause sneezing and coughing, and ingestion in large doses may irritate the gastrointestinal system. It is classified Xi.

• When handling it, please follow the instructions and recommendations given on the safety data sheets drawn up by the manufacturers, in accordance with Annex II of Reach Regulation (EC) 1907/2006.

• In the case of occupational exposure, handling and/or transfer systems should preferably be enclosed. Otherwise, dust extraction will be installed to keep dust levels below the exposure limit value.
