These interlocking relief tiles (figure
14
) are the most widely manufactured and used clay tiles in France, from north to central France, not forgetting the Rhone corridor and the Mediterranean coast. There was a huge variety of these tiles, with over a hundred different models of "lozenge" tiles alone.
