5. Conclusion
The calculation method described here follows the rules established in France by mutual agreement among glass and facade professionals, inspection agencies, and the CSTB. It is based on the Timoshenko and Woinovsky-Krieger plate formulas and the BARES tables.
The climatic loads are those specified in the Eurocodes.
However, European standardization efforts on this subject have not yet resulted in a calculation method for glazing thicknesses for these types of structures.
