2. Fresh BAP characteristics
The concept of BAP classification was a latecomer to the market, yet it is an essential parameter in the development of these concretes. Originally conceived by the Japanese (Professor Okamura in particular, at the end of the 1980s), the BAP formulation was designed to produce civil engineering structures with a high density of reinforcement, for which processing anomalies were feared.
Today, and more particularly in Europe, the use of BAPs is expanding in the precast and in-situ concrete sectors, requiring different BAP formulations.
