8. Properties of hardened concrete
As previously stated, BAPs differ essentially from ordinary vibrated concrete in their properties in the fresh state.
In the hardened state, their properties are very similar and depend directly on the details of the formulation.
As far as 28-day compressive strength is concerned, BAPs can cover a wide range of performances (the usual range of 30 to 60 MPa poses no problems). In fact, low strengths are difficult to achieve, due to the high content of fine elements in the mix and the limited water content (for segregation reasons).
