In the current context of improving the energy efficiency and performance of buildings, with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, energy recovery from polluted air extracted from industrial buildings is becoming essential. It is possible to recover part of the heat contained in the exhaust air stream, either by transferring part of this heat to new air via an exchanger, or by recycling part of this air after treatment and purification. Air recycling avoids the introduction of preheated make-up air in winter, which consumes energy.
