Dimensioning of road pavements

Once a type of structure has been chosen and pre-dimensioned, either by reference to the catalog of structures or based on the designer's experience, the dimensioning process involves a number of stages which will be reviewed in the following paragraphs, and whose logic is well summarized in standard NFP 98-082 of January 1994 and standard NF P 98-086 of May 2019 (see Pour en savoir plus) :
