Overview of technical solutions
The intensity of loads transmitted between old and new buildings often requires high performance and reliable technical solutions.
Widely used in the past, anchor bolts and carp bolts are possible attachment solutions for shear-only connections. The use of these devices is tricky for parts subject to pull-out forces when they are part of a construction's stability system. In such cases, conventional systems such as crosshead or hammerhead anchors need to be adapted.
