Consider the step-down chopper we studied in [E 3 964 , § 1 et figure 6] . It has an output current filter. The following analysis remains valid for all other converters, which require an output current filter. By adapting our reasoning below, it is even possible to extend the results to a current input filter (step-up chopper). Throughout this section, we will neglect the influence of the input filter. This is equivalent to considering that it supplies a true voltage source to the chopper.
