There are many possible types of architecture, and we won't explore them all here. However, all architectures can include :

• a locally-generated, remote or stored energy source,

• a chopper,

• connecting lines,

• a load,

• filters,

• transformers,

• control electronics,

• sensors (temperature, current, etc.),

• inputs/outputs to the world outside the power chain.
