4. Model validation

Model validation is a crucial phase that must not be neglected. Models are generally extracted from small-signal measurements. When these so-called non-linear models are intended to represent the component's performance under large-signal excitation, it is inevitable to compare the results obtained from simulations and measurements.

A first verification can be obtained by comparing simulations and so-called load-pull measurements in pulsed or continuous mode
